Slingshot delivered functional prototypes and feature development innovation for the Black & Decker Garden Tool line. Mechanical engineers, industrial designers, and material scientists worked together to develop new features to enhance user experience, quality, ergonomics, and ruggedness. This project involved ergonomic studies and innovations in non-powered gear mechanisms. The Slingshot team innovated a wide range of products to fit the Black & Decker form language and maintain a cohesive brand identity. From blade coating to handle design, Slingshot provided design direction for a new product category.
