Slingshot Product Development Group's VP of Design, Noah McNeely, and Material Scientist, Nigel Flynn, recently spoke for a group of Gwinnett County businesses as part of a guest lecture and workshop series aimed at supporting the growth of the small business community. Noah McNeely and Nigel Flynn with Slingshot Product Development presented "Brainstorming: Developing the Right Product by Solving the Right Problem" at the August Small Business U.
McNeely offered this piece of advice to attendees: "Create products and services because you should, not because you can." McNeely explained that identifying consumer needs is the first step of solving the problem.
In terms of product development, Flynn said the key part to growing revenue with your products is through innovation.
"You must either sell more products, acquire or merge with another business or innovate by creating new products."
