A team of Slingshot designers and engineers helped Panoz Auto Development Company create a GT version of its exclusive Esperante Roadster. The new version of the sports car would need a custom designed hard-top and new body panels. The most important goal of the program was that the new parts must appear consistent with the car's design, and in no way could they look like after-market products.

To successfully meet these challenges, Slingshot personnel worked on-site at Panoz for a period of weeks, sculpting and designing full scale body panel concepts. Slingshot's designers worked in collaboration with the Panoz team to evaluate and tweak the concepts on a production vehicle.
