Slingshot’s design team assisted Onecare with the creation of the revolutionary Woolite clothespin. This innovation in laundry care provides both a gentle surface to hold clothing securely, and a unique hook feature to isolate the clean clothing from the dirty clothesline. An efficient conceptualization process captured the client’s vision, sophisticated CAD surfacing methodology turned a concept into a manufacturable design, and rapid prototyping technology confirmed that the design was on target.

The key challenge with this project was the identification and implementation of appropriate materials for the product. It was important to balance a soft texture for gripping hands and clothes with a rugged core material that would provide for a durable, quality product worthy of the Woolite brand.
