All products developed by the Military/Security Products Division reflect MIL Standards and other such benchmarks and requirements that lead to successful military/security products. Our military product design process incorporates Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR) and Critical Design Reviews (CDR) to ensure each project meets critical design and development milestones throughout the course of the project.
Slingshot Product Development Group recently designed and developed a hand-held chemical and explosives detection "sniffer" device using Ion Mobility Spectrometry technology (IMS), that can detect in the air miniscule amounts of chemical toxins and homemade explosives. The programmable device recognizes up to 60 substances such as sarin nerve gas or mustard gas, even at low levels.
